Another long walk finally sees me arrive back at Dalby and Goondir Health Services. Goondir has two other main clinic besides Dalby, one based in Oakey and the other in St. George. They also provide outreach services to Jandowae, Surat, Dirranbandi, Thallon, Chinchilla, Tara and surrounding areas.
Goondir provides primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples including general practice, nursing, and Aboriginal Health Workers. They also run specialised programs and health promotion services targeting diabetes, sexual health, maternal and child health and hearing health. Goondir offer a range of other services on a limited basis including optometry, psychology, paediatrics, dental and various allied health services.
