Walk the Talk Arrives at BushMob Aboriginal Corporation

I’ve made it to Alice Springs and the first of many stops while I’m in town. First up is BushMob Aboriginal Corporation.

BushMob is an Aboriginal community led response to alcohol and other drug (AOD) problems affecting young people. It operates a 20-bed residential facility and community outreach program to support AOD recovery for young people aged 12-25 years old. The service is accessible territory wide and also has some capacity to accept interstate referrals. The program is confidential and voluntary.

BushMob is staffed 24 hours a day by a team of dedicated workers. The program is structured with therapeutic activities including individual and group therapy, recreational activities and educational and training opportunities which all help with healing, recovery and life development skills.

If you are or know an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person who might benefit from BushMob’s program, check them out via their website: https://www.bushmob.com.au/

Off to my next stop in town.
