Walk the Talk Reaches Central Desert Regional Council

Still in Alice Springs and I’m visiting with the Central Desert Regional Council.

Central Desert Regional Council offers a wide variety of services to nine remote communities: Anmatjere. Atitjere, Engawala, Lajamanu, Laramba, Nyirripi, Willowra, Yuelamu, and Yuendumu. In terms of health specific services, Central Desert Regional Council provides Aged Care services, including meals, laundry, personal care, transport, social support and social activities, among others, and a Youth Sport and Recreation Program which works with communities to deliver youth, sport and recreation activities that create healthy minds, bodies and communities. Several other services also have an impact on health, including the Community Safety, Children’s services.
