Walk the Talk Reaches Central Australian Aboriginal Alcohol Programmes Unit

Heading to the south side and I’m at the Central Australian Aboriginal Alcohol Programmes Unit (CAAAPU).

CAAAPU is an Aboriginal-controlled primary provider of culturally appropriate alcohol counselling and residential treatment services in Alice Springs. They provide residential, outreach, and day care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous women and men suffering the effects of alcohol and substance abuse. Their programs include individual and group counseling, support and education in a healthy, safe and caring environment.

If you or someone you know would benefit from CAAAPU’s programs, find out more about what they do and how to refer through their website: http://www.caaapu.org.au/

I’m heading out of town and travelling south-west to my next stop.
