Walk the Talk Reaches Barkly Region Alcohol and Drug Abuse Advisory Group

It’s taken a while but I’ve finally made it up to Tennant Creek and stopping in at the Barkly Region Alcohol and Drug Abuse Advisory Group (BRADAAG).

BRADAAG is the only provider of alcohol and other drug services for the Barkly Region, and covers an area of approximately 320,000 square kilometres and nine Aboriginal groups including the Warumungu, Walpiri, Kaytetye and Alyawarra people. BRADAAG has established a range of programs that provide a continuum of care for alcohol and other drug clients, so they can receive the necessary, appropriate and on-going support to address their needs within their local area. Services provided by BRADAAG include residential rehabilitation, a sobering up shelter, and outreach aftercare services.
