Walk the Talk Reaches Cunnamulla Aboriginal Corporation for Health

It’s been a fair hike but I finally made it to Cunnamulla Aboriginal Corporation for Health.

Cunnamulla Aboriginal Corporation for Health (CACH) is an Aboriginal community controlled organisation providing primary health care services, education, and clinical services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Paroo and Bulloo shires of Queensland. CACH aims to promote, maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in south western Qld.

Aside from their great health care, the CACH Murri Network has developed a Young Elders and Future Elders program as a forum that allows the future leadership and skill development of the younger generation. The Elders of the community see this as a very important strategy to engage the younger people of their community and to ensure the transfer of knowledge from Elders onto the younger generation.

CACH’s website is currently undergoing maintenance however you can still use it to find alternate ways to contact them. Their link is: https://www.cach.org.au/. If you’re an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person in their area in need of health or medical services you’d do well to pay them a visit.

I’m off to Charleville!
