Walk the Talk Reaches Central Queensland Indigenous Development

On my way out of Rockhampton I checked in with Central Queensland Indigenous Development (CQID).

CQID is a community controlled organisation dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through the provision of a variety of services throughout Central Queensland.

CQID’s services include alcohol and drug services, family services including support for family violence and wellbeing, youth services including family participation, foster and kinship care, transition to independent living and youth wellbeing, and homelessness services. Many services are available through multiple locations around Central Queensland.

CQID’s motto is “there’s no shame in asking for help”, so if you or someone you know could use their assistance, look up their website at: https://cqid.com.au/ and look for the “Ask for help” link.

That ends my time in Rocky – next stop is almost a week away!
