Walk the Talk Reaches Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan

I’m in Edmonton and visiting Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan.

Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan provides “home away from home” accommodation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children attending medical treatment in Cairns.

They can provide accommodation for up to twenty-four clients and also offer in-house transportation services to medical appointments as well as weekend shopping, fishing trips and important events like Cairns Indigenous Art Fair and NAIDOC celebrations. The service is fully staffed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

If you’re an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander woman needing extended medical treatment in Cairns and looking for a culturally safe and caring place to stay, find out more about Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan through their website: https://mookairosie.org.au/

Off to my next stop while I’m in and around the Cairns area!
